The Tumalo Winter Range Cooperative Closure (WDCC) is an initiative by the
- Bureau of Land Management,
- Deschutes National Forest,
- Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife and
- Cooperating Landowners.
The Objectives of this initiative are to protect wintering deer and other wildlife from harassment by controlling vehicle use thereby:
- Increasing winter survival of mule deer and other species and
- Protecting and improving wildlife habitat
The Closure is in effect from December 1st to March 31st. Bear in mind that the BLM holdings within the WRCC are closed to unauthorized off-road vehicle use year round.
