Mission:
The mission of the fTWC is to educate, encourage and cooperate with the general public, local landowners and public agencies to
- safeguard the future of the unique habitat within the Tumalo Wildlife Corridor while providing for human enjoyment and recreation within the regulations and guidelines of the Federal, State and local agencies and more specifically, the Upper Deschutes Resource Management Plan of 2007.
- research vegetative habitat and animal migration patterns within the Tumalo Wildlife Corridor.
Legal Organization:
The fTWC is a grassroots organization formed in February 2013 registered as a public benefit non-profit organization 996512-92 with the State of Oregon and approved as a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization by the IRS. Your financial support is tax deductible.
Organization Schema:
- fTWC is guided by a steering committee that meets from time to time. Additionally, “at large” meetings are scheduled for give and take sessions. Take a look at our Blog for meeting information and/or sign up for updates.
- fTWC is an all volunteer organization that depends on contributions of time, labor and money to achieve its objectives. In other words, we have no paid staff and currently get the work done ourselves.
